How Nana had waited,
for the baby she would hold.....
Nana had been on watch....
for what seemed to be to way too long!
Hours crept by, then turned to days
please don't let anything be wrong!
Her anticipation was growing....
and her patience starting to wane.
If want of something could make it happen
she should have moved up the day!!!
And now it appeared the day had come
soon Annlyn would arrive!
Finally she had grown big enough,
to thrive in the world outside!
Nana was at Mommie's side,,,,
and Daddy waited quietly,
for the little baby that took her time,
to be punctual, politely......
Your Mommy made me proud that day,
as she brought you into the world.
