Alien Al
The new boy wasn't really anything special. He just sort of sat around and did his work. That was what scared me. Our fifth grade class NEVER paid attention to our teacher. But this little boy, named Albert, ALWAYS did his homework.
"Hey, Newt!" My best friend, Terry, called, using my nickname.
"Yeah?"
"I have the greatest idea of how to uncover Al's secret . . ." Terry smiled wickedley, showing a row of bright green braces.
