I was only 5 when the war broke out and was living in the Jewish Orphanage just outside London. We were evacuated to Wales a place called Aberystwyth. (I hope I spelled that right}. And stayed till about 1943, when they shipped us back to London. Why they did that is any body's guess, because that's when the Buzz Bombs started to come. We spent most nights down Oxford Station tube station. I was back in London last year for a visit, he first time in 45 years . Things sure have changed since 1954 the year I came to Canada. I'm not sure if I could recall any of the kids I was with during those years, but it would be nice to here from somebody from that era. |
