NATE SCREWS UP!!
Janet speaks of Nate's hormones.
Nate informs us that he has definite temptations in Seattle. "There are temptations everywhere."
If he and Steph can make it through this, they can make it through anything.
Steph is coming to visit again.
Nate and Steph are engrossed in a deep conversation when she informs him that she will punch him in the face for two reasons:
1) If he doesn't graduate from VMI
2) If "they" show more than flirting.
Look's like Nathan is in trouble!
Rebecca has lunch with Sir Mix A Lot's manager and tells him that she has a passion for music...it's her outlet.
Becca is offered an opportunity to do voice recordings for SMAL. SMAL and crew tell her that she can do a new song, and that would be "hellatight".
Nate talks to Phil (production manager at the End) and Phil offers him an on air spot for the last two weeks of the radio show. Of course, Nate accepts with a big grin on his face.
Nathan is at a bar talking to chics on his 2 year anniversary. How compassionate of him!
Nate goes home alone..tries to at least. Becca follows him and comforts him as he cries about kissing some random chic. She tells him that everyone screws up... (But what Becca doesn't realize is that Steph is going to kick his ass!)
Janet and Becca go rollerblading. They have a intellectual conversation about their lives. (Since when are J and R buddy-buddy?)
Becca's friend comes to help her write music. "Music is poetry" and it means everything to Rebecca.
Steph arrives, and she and Nathan are in the back seat of a car (??) and she says he's changed. He also says he needs to tell her about the kiss..but doesn't.
Nathan records his first show on air..with a group of friends and beer to boot.
They are told that there will be no more visitors during a show, and they shouldn't drink while they are working.
Steph and Nathan are in bed, and in the meantime, Steve-O is on the phone with a friend talking about Nathan. (Okay, HE can talk about people, but when people talk about HIM he cries?? What's up with that???)
Becca goes to record "Innocent"..the song she and her pal wrote.
Nathan debates about telling Steph about the kiss, but then doesn't...he says there is a time and place to tell her. (Yeah, when hell freezes over!)
Becca plays her song for Linds and Nate, and they both like it.
Everyone goes out with Steph on her last night there. Janet tells Nathan not to tell Steph right now because he's drunk.
He tells Steph that he's upset because he spent so much money at the bar. But she then gets pissed and goes to bed. Nathan says under his breath that she'll be happy that he cheated on her.
Nathan has a moment and says that he's scared to go home, and that he can't imagine being without her.

Piggy (from RR) calls and challenges them to RR games-Aqua Games. This should be interesting!

DEATH AND THE O.D.
What an episode!
Show starts with Linds and Janet at skydiving classes...
Cut to.. Background info on "Wild Bill" Lindsay's friend (or 2nd brother)
David speaks to Kira about coming there after the show is over. He tells her he can't leave early, and she gets a little upset.
***Did anyone notice all the "track marks" on Dave's arms?? Hello!**
David explains that he has worked for 3 and 1/2 years for the education that he has, and he "sn't giving it up for nobody"
Dave tells Steve-O that he is feeling like he's going to get an ulcer or blow up because he's so nervous because of all the stress with Kira. (YEAH RIGHT!) He probably couldn't score any speed that day!
Lindsay finds out that "Wild Bill" killed himself. She speaks to Poull (her brother) and her mother, and they tell her that he killed himself with Carbon Monoxide.
Janet tries to comfort Linds, as well as everyone else in the house, but she pushes them away
Janet and Rebecca talk about Linds behind her back about the suicide and how it's affecting her (Janet talking behind someone's back?? NO WAY! Big shocker there!)
David's friend Anthony comes to visit. We find out that he is in remission from Cancer.
**Is it just me, or does David have a LOT of people coming to visit him??? Geez!
Everyone takes a liking to Anthony because he's so positive about life.
David discusses when he's leaving with Kira (again!) And they discuss the fact that Dave is going to Morroco when the show is over to study language
David freaks out and Linds calls an ambulance
Linds feels like she's being tested because of all the deaths in her family.
Janet talks to Anthony from the hospital. (NICE TO SEE THE ROOM MATES WENT THERE TO BE WITH THEIR "FRIEND")
Apparently, Dave had some sort of muscle spasm with a long name
Linds talks to Poull about Bill's death and her emotions FINALLY show. But what was the deal with her head in the camera shot??
Linds goes to mass on the day of the funeral because she doesn't want to remember Bill that way
Lindsay then decides not to skydive with Janet because she's afraid to "see death" that way
Dave and Steve-O talk about Kira and her love for Dave. Dave says that she freaks out a lot, and Steve tells him to "trust love man"
Dave then decides to leave early to be with Kira. (Sure did pay off seeing that they broke up!)
Janet skydives and describes the experience to Lindsay, who tells Janet that she's proud of her.
Linds says she's recovering because she's letting people hug her again.
Lindsay does a PSA (Public Service Announcement) for Suicide

POOR LITTLE STEVIE
As if Stephen could get any more annoying...
THE TRUE STORY OF
This episode starts where last week ended..
Janet notices the doggie floating in the water, and asks if Stephen just "smacked" Irene.
They are all standing outside when Stephen comes back up the pier and says "She's such a F--king bitch" Janet and Nathan are shocked to find out that he slapped her in the face.
Once inside, Stephen tells them all that he "smacked her in the back of the head" (Yeah Stephen, keep telling yourself that) So everyone pretty much is okay with that... for now.
David (in his usual style) walks back and says "Girls Girls what's goin on he-ya (here for those not used to his lingo)"
Janet proceeds to tell him the whole story about Stephen and Irene. She calls him homosexual and he smacks her (basically trying to smack away the truth-not that there's anything wrong with that)
David gets pissed and says "It's going to get ugly-ya (uglier)" and he plans to beat the crap out of him...unfortunatly, he didn't
The roomies minus Stephen all have a meeting with the director (why does the "REAL WORLD" need a
The directors and such show them the tape of the slap, and everyone's mouth drops..... Yeah, like Stephen wouldn't do such a thing...
Once the tape is over the roomies must decide whether Stephen stays or goes.. Their stupidity shows through in this situation as well... THEY LET HIM STAY!!!
David goes and talks to Stephen and tells him that he is staying. Stephen starts poking David in the chest (sexual innuendos??) and telling him it was all Irene's fault or whatever.
So, Stephen's staying and everything is hunky dorey..but he has to go to anger management classes so he can cry and whine some more about how he was mistreated in life blah blah blah (IS IT JUST ME OR ARE WE ALL TIRED OF HIS WHINING???)
Rebecca sends Irene some flowers, and then calls her. Irene said that she's fine, and that the whole situation was not because of her Lyme Disease but rather she went crazy because of the situation.
Stephen wakes up the next morning with a blonde wig hanging on his head.. he is definitely hiding something..
He goes to work with the wig on trying to take the heat off of him, but instead everyone laughs at him.
Rebecca says he's Sir Lancelot gone African American.
Aubbie and another employee of "The End" gossip about Stephen as he listens outside the door, and then proceeds to go in and yell at them about talking behind his back blah blah blah
Stephen then goes and crawls into a ball and hides under a desk and cries to some random person on the phone...Geez, this is all too familiar!!!
The group goes to meet with an expert on Lyme Disease to learn why Irene acted the way she did. Yeah, right, NOW they care???

GOODNIGHT IRENE
The show starts with more preparation for the radio show. Irene doesn't feel well, so she leaves and goes home.
Irene says nobody knows how sick she is, but that's how the disease is. (The Silent Killer)
Janet says that Irene said that she doesn't talk about her problems because no one asks.
Rebecca tells Irene that she has always been there for her, so she can't say that.
Irene says that "being sick is a way to find out who is going to be your friend and who's not"
**Scenery**
Janet and Stephen talk about Easter and Passover.
Rebecca's Mother comes for Easter.
Stephen tells Irene that it's cool that she uses the video phone (because her family just got one)
She allegedly tells Stephen that she doesn't give a F__K about him right now.
Stephen tells Irene that she's on his S__T list because of what she did about the phone. He said he knows it was in her to be a bitch. She tries to explain and he says "I don't give a s__t bitch" and he storms off to pout (GEE, SHOCKER!)
Irene says she's not going to be treated this way. She's sick as hell, so she doesn't think it's necessary.
Lindsay says that Stephen's got a temper-meanwhile Stephen's talking to the guys saying "I'm not going to be confronted about this. You saw it, I got off the phone, I was being a considerate little dude."
Irene talks to Rebecca and her Mother and starts crying about the whole situation. She ends up calling Stephen a D__K. Becca's Mom tells her she's homesick.
**More scenery**
Irene tries to talk to Stephen and OF COURSE he backlashes at her like the spoiled little brat he is!
She tells him that the reason she's having a problem with the cameras is because they haven't figured her out yet.
She says he is the one looking like a chump because he is trying to walk out of the room. And he's being compasionless.
Stephen primps for the camera---typical!---and tells her he doesn't need stress in his life. "You know what you are Irene? You are stress. S-T-R-E-S-S." (OH MY GOSH, STEPHEN CAN SPELL!!)
The whole gang of Irene's FRIENDS minus Rebecca all say she's a bitch. Janet says that the day of the "phone thing" she claimed to be Janet, and she's done this more than once.
Irene tells a pal on the phone that it sucks living there when you are sick because you have to be "on" all the time, because there are studio lights on all the time, and because one of her roomates has a chemical imbalance.
She goes to a relaxation therapist.
Everything they spoke of was about the house and room mates etc.. her therapist said she doesn't fit in there.
She tells the roomies that she's leaving and hanging out in Seattle to see what it's really like, then going to San Francisco and LA.
Stephen comes up with a nasty look and says "You're Leaving" (WHAT AN ASS!!!)
They ask her if that's what she really wants and she says "Yes" with a big smile! :-)
Stephen blows up and her and says she's faking it, that she's full of it etc blah blah blah blah blah blah blah He says "You can kiss my ass" and leaves the room. He says that she needs to go back to where she left her sanity. Irene says that he has emotional problems.
Janet and Linds are pissed because of Irene's influence over them (Whatever!!!)
Stephen steals Irene's stuffed dog and lies about it.
David says she that more than half the house doesn't like her.
They all go to breakfast where Irene tells them that she doesn't believe in the project because she doesn't believe that art shouldn't hurt. She also looks directly at the camera and says "it's fake"
As Irene is leaving, she tells Stephen to come outside with her for a minute. "I gave everyone a gift, and I want to give you one too." "You know that a marriage between us wouldn't work out. You know that. Because you are homosexual" Stephen flips out!!! Stephen goes and grabs the stuffed dog he stole and throughs it in the water. Then he runs after her and opens the car door and slaps her.(MORON!) Irene, as awesome as she is, just laughs it off, and leaves.
Everyone is pissed at Stephen for hitting Irene, and the producer pulls him aside and says that if they want him out, they can vote on it.
Personal Note: I HOPE THEY DO!
September 15, 1998
SAME OLD CRAP...DIFFERENT DAY
Well.. the Real Worlders are doing just about the same crap they've done all season long.. and the producers are using the same footage they've used all season long!
First, we see clips of Irene from past shows... to try and show that she's been getting sick all along.
Lindsay comments on her attitude "We don't know if she's going to blow up or be cranky" Yeah, you should talk Linds!
Irene asks Stephen if he does massages too. She tells him that she'll marry him if he'll cook and clean for her... he can have affairs on the side as long as he'll do that. "You want a bitch don't you" Stephen says.
Stephen says they've had a cosmic connection over the past few weeks (yea, that's why she's on your S##T list next week?)
REI chic comes again to tape their commercials (Is it weird to anyone else that she has the same kind of squeeky voice that Irene does? Talk about conformity!!!)
Stephen ransacks the boys room looking for the CD's he taped in Nepal, and finally finds them next to the porn (where the girls wouldn't find them!)
Irene tells Janet and Lindsay that she can't write down everything and take notes. She has to work her own way.
Janet says that Irene wants to make sure everyone knows she's funny.
Irene's sickness is starting to come out.
**Random useless shots of a train**
Irene's illenss starts to take it's toll (nausea, migranes, psychosis)
Janet helps her by bringing her a warm cloth and pushing on her head.

Radio station practice time again, and Irene is feeling like hell. BUT she wants no one to know!
Everyone is confused about what's wrong with her and how to express their feelings about the disease.
Stephen agrees to do the Intros for the commercials..He does his typical "Yes, I'll do it.. I am capable...I'll email it to you tonight" But falls asleep on the couch with Irene.
***Random shots of a boat***
Stephen tells the REI chic that he "like totally slept until 3 o'clock" MUST BE NICE!
Irene goes into mass hysteria!!!! She runs around cleaning... and spouting off all kinds of nonsense to everyone.. speaking her mind like she's been wanting to do since she got there.. "This is how I am..I think out loud" She offends Nathan by trying to interpret the dream he had about her (she had testicles) She told him that she liked that she offended him.
Irene tells everyone that she feels like she's an old lady..
**Enough of the random shots already!**
Stephen does his REI stuff like a good boy.
Irene has to go public about her disease because "her body is makin her!" While she's doing the confession, she's stuttering and slurring her words..
She tells Janet about her sickness, and Janet feels bad for not helping her. Irene gets very emotional about it, and Janet feels bad again that she's done this all alone.
Rebecca tells Irene to go to the doctor, and she goes with her.
Irene is pleased that Becca went with her to the doc's.
AND she's pleased that there is something wrong with her..she has nerve damage.
She (and everyone else) thought she was going nuts!
David calls her and asks if she'll be okay... "I don't know"
NEXT WEEK:
The momentous moment is here.. Irene is about to leave.
Her sickness will show her who her "real" friends are.. in the meantime everyone is saying that over half the house doesn't like her... What's half of 7?? 3 and 1/2??
September 8, 1998 CONFRONTATION David and Lindsay speak of his friends-most of whom are in prison. He tells her that he took the right turn in life, and that he could have gone the other way. Lindsay asks what kind of trouble they got into, but David can't talk about it because of school...honor is a virtue there.
Dave's pal Shannon comes into town (she's a loud mouth from Boston)
Stephen's Mom is prego, she's 43, and he is NOT happy about it because it is once again, an unplanned pregnancy.
Stephen and Janet talk about his childhood..how he grew up around several stepdads that beat him a few times. Janet can't relate to that, because she was raised differently.
David's music review got screwed up because he didn't tape it correctly. Mr Program Director Guy is none to happy about this
Everyone gets the impression that David has no interest in the radio show..(gee, ya think?)
The boys and Shannon all go out... Shannon gets in some guys face, and he pushes Shannon... in return, David knocks out two of his teeth.
In the meantime, Kira calls the Pier house and talks to Janet... she is worried that David is not home at 3 am (what is she calling at 3 am for??)
The cops come to the rescue at the fight, and David and Nate get to go home...
Shannon licks Davids wounds because "she is a nurse so she knows how"
David speaks to Kira and tells her what happened and swears he'll never fight again.
"You make so much progress and then you digress in a heartbeat" David states to the camera (what ever happened to confessionals anyways?)
Stephen meets two uncles that he didn't know existed..and finds out that his Dad didn't tell them about Stephen until he was in college. Of course, Stephen is not pleased about this.
Stephen reads some unhappy poetry to Rebecca, and he tells her that he has never written a happy poem.
Once again, David blows off work, and gets someone to cover for him...and once again, Phil gives him a second chance!
The girls tell him he lies too much, and he throughs a huge fit because of the honor code at their school...meanwhile flashing his bod at us.
He and Rebecca talk everything out and go to bed (seperatly)
Stephen's Mom has a C-Section, and he panics because she almost died once before, but she is okay, and has a 9 lbs 8 oz little girl
David admits to a random person on the phone that he doesn't really care about the radio station, but he'll do what he has to do to get the job done....and then interviews Fastball.

Janet meets "Justin the Fish Guy"
"Spiritual fish guys ar from a different breed" claims David
Janet compares sex to avacados (although she has never had avacados) David asks why she and Irene are talking about vegetables, and Irene says,"I'm in the midst of an analogy that I'm not sure I'm following"
Phil (Program Director guy) asks what the show should be called, and they all shout out "Dead Air" and Lindsay explains to the cameras it's because that's all that they will have..is dead air.
It's decided that the 1st show should be taped.
Stepen David and Nate are supposed to be the "on the street interviewers" and they all get defensive when Rebecca (the production person) starts "bossing them around"
Janet thinks that Rebecca is intimidated by the fact that there are 3 boys..Rebecca says that she "will not slip into submission for anyone"
Janet goes out for a drink with Justin the Fish Guy (and he gets all dolled up for the "date") He ends up opening her door, lighting her smokes, and he took her to a Martini Bar. (Don't you think Justin sounds a little like Dennis Quaid??)
Justin starts to become REALLY attached to Janet.
She gets a flower from Justin and starts to melt. He calls her and they have a discussion about their "relationship"... Janet says it's "bad news" She tells him that she needs to figure some things out.
Janet's family comes (Mom, Grandma, and Sister) to visit her.. They go to all the "tourist" sites (at least according to MTV) She takes them to the fish market and the radio station. To butter up the family, another DJ says that he knew that Janet would get the DJ job because she worked so hard for it.
Janet and her fam go to dinner with Rebecca. Then, they go back to the hotel, and Justin is there! (Janet told him that she needed this weekend to herself to miss him and spend time with her family) Janet panics.. he is starting to smother her.
Justin calls Dave and says that he feels like crying because he's so sad that Janet is being this way. Then they have a "bonding moment" and talk about how he was so drunk he can't remember anything. "Don't you HATE THAT?" David says...
Janet then tells Linds that Justin isn't a big priority in her life right now.
They are all preparing notes for the radio show, and Irene feels that you can't do that otherwise the show will be bad. "People like to feel like the DJ's are talking to them."
Justin was at the house when Janet and the girls came home...she ignores him.
They all listen to their radio show, and Janet feels she is being a jerk because he keeps paging her, but she isn't calling him back.
So much for a "secret boyfriend"!!!
NEXT WEEK:
David's past comes back to haunt him when an old friend comes-a-calling. He ends up getting into a HUGE brawl...
August 25, 1998
Three radio DJ spots are available at "The End" 107.7 where the gang works.
Everyone wants to be on air, but only three are available (the other 4 would be in production)
They all get a crash course in production and are told to make a demo tape and give it to Phil (the radio producer dude)
Irene, Janet, Rebecca, and Lindsay work their butts off to do their demos. Yet, the guys egos take over and make them think they will get the spots anyways.
Phil calls Stephen and Nathan to see where their tapes are, and neither one of them have them...but they STILL think they will get the jobs anyways.
Irene, Janet, and Rebecca are chosen for the DJ spots. (and Stephen pouts!)
Stephanie comes to visit Nathan and strikes up a friendship with Irene (much to Nathan's dismay)
They play in the hottub and shower...
And Steph leaves... Nate cries
Next week... tensions rise as the girls take their new DJ jobs...Janet finally gets a "secret boyfriend"
August 18, 1998 episode
Well, they are still in Nepal at this point. Nathan decides to eat some of their foreign cuisine and was stricken with diahrrea and all of that yummy stuff.
Janet is being just as she is - stubborn. Stepen and her fight over something as ignorant as makeup!!!!
We find out in this episode that out of the seven roomies, 4 of them smoke! Most likely socially, but it always seems to happen like that!
Rebecca finds a new culture in Nepal, and wears a sari about town.
Stephen and Janet make up after a "talk" back in Seattle. Stephen then hangs "prayer flags" around the house.
