The Jason Interview

RRW: What is your inspiration?

JASON: Not to live a monotonous, boring fucking life.....to realize we only go around once and I want to live as fully as I can...

RRW: What do you wish ‘The Real World,’ showed more of about you?

JASON: My sick humor....my poetry

RRW: Do you still keep in contact with your roommates, if so, how are they now?

JASON: Yes, all of them and everybody is doing good....the show changed our lives but for the most part it's been good for everyone involved.

RRW: Where do you think you’d be now if you hadn’t done ‘The Real World?’

JASON: I have no idea

RRW: I always ask... what was your favorite ‘Real World,’ besides your own and your favorite ‘Real Worlder?’

JASON: I didn't watch the shows so I can't pick a favorite show, and I get along with quite a few real worlders, however I really got along with Neil from London very well.... we are similar in many ways and he's a cool kid....

RRW: What are you doing now?

JASON: Now I'm a casting director for The Real World and Road Rules.... basically I help pick the kids for the new shows..... I'm living in LA, Vince from Road Rules is my roommate, I'm no longer dating Timber, I'm seeing Janet from Seattle, I'm just hanging out, surfing, playing Nintendo, doing my thing....

RRW: Were there any rules in the house set by MTV or BMP? (Like I know you’re not allowed to listen to music out loud because it interferes with their music)

JASON: No drugs, no music, always tell them where you are going

RRW: How was it working with the kids?

JASON: Weird, cool, nerve racking, rewarding, stressful... the kids were very cool... I believe kids are the purest form of human we've got.... we could learn a lot from them...

RRW: Was there any pressure living in the house to be someone or something?

JASON: Just yourself, and sometimes figuring out who you are is hard enough at this age....

RRW: Who do you think is the coolest person in the world? And why?

JASON: The Dalai Lama he's one of the strongest connections to a better, more peaceful existence we have..... he's wise, he's humble, he's purely human....

RRW: If you could meet one person who would it be? And why?

JASON: The Dalai Lama...to learn from him

RRW: Tell us about Noraspurge, you ‘zine. And how do we get it, what can we expect from it?

JASON: Soon it will be available over my web site www.noraspurge.com it's a collection of my journal entries, a little poetry.....just my life and what I'm thinking about on a daily basis...... it's very raw, real, unedited..... it should be available SOON..... I'm finishing it up within the month.....

RRW: Did you watch your episodes? Does MTV or BMP send you a copy before it airs?

JASON: Yes they do, and yes I've seen them all, although I don't like to watch them so much anymore.... I'm looking forward to the new show, RR All Stars 2......

RRW: Isn’t it kind of weird when you watch yourself on TV and then you hear something someone says about you and you never knew they felt that way?

JASON: Yes, but it all makes sense in THE END
