1999 National League MVP

General Info

Chipper has been with the Braves his whole career, from when they took him #1 in the nation in the 1990 draft. He was a leading candidate for Rookie of the Year in 1995, but lost to Dodgers pitcher Hideo Nomo. In Chipper's first year in the league, he got a World Series ring. Last year he was considered MVP, but fell short to Tony Gwynn, and made an All Star appearance. I recently learned that Chipper's candy bar has stopped being manufactured.

1999: Chipper was the shining star of the Braves this year. He led the team in nearly every catergory statistically, including home runs, RBIs, and hits. Chipper will most likely be named the National League MVP. Congrats Chip on a great year!
