Andruw earned Minor League Player of the Year twice before he joined the Braves. Then he passed Mickey Mantle as the youngest player ever to hit a World Series home run in the 1996 series. He hit a home run in his first two at bats in that series. He hit the longest home run ever in Veterans Stadium. He put on a highlight reel of great catches in the outfield last year.

1999: Andruw was once again a defensive specialist in center field, and will probably get another Gold Glove this year. He continued to be more patient at the plate and improved his offensive game.
