Description:
The alto, a.k.a. treble recorder is fingered in F and sports a length of approx. 18 inches.  It is the most popular middle voiced recorder and is commonly used for solo work.  The range is from the first F above Middle C to the G two octaves above that.  The alto is written as sounded.
