Description:
These two are the largest, deepest voiced, and rarest recorders in
existence today. The contrabass is F fingered and the sub contrabass
is C fingered, and their ranges begin at the second F below Middle C (contra)
and the C two octaves below Middle C (sub contra.) Pictured above
is the sub contra, which stands 8-9 feet tall. Neither of these two
recorders is used in the typical recorder orchestra.
