The Garklein Recorder

This C fingered instrument is the smallest and highest pitched of the recorder family.  The approximate length is 6 inches and the most usable range is from C'' (two octaves above Middle C) to A'''' (fourth A from Middle C.)  Also known as the piccolo recorder, it is usually used to fill out chords in ensembles, though it not used as often as most of its deeper pitched counterparts.
