Neat Picture isn't it.

Editoiral: The New Dub; te obligatroy coverage.

Well, this editorial is about you guessed it..the new dub. I feel it is almost required of me as a DBZ website creator to write about it. Now I write about it carefully because I got into an argument with a friend who lent me the dub. He was a tad pissed at my opinion's on the new dub. He also said if I made fun of it in this editorial he wouldn't lend me tape two. So this is in no means making fun of the new dub. FUNimation is trying its hardest to give us real DBZ (stifles a few giggles). Anywho after this long disclaimer mainly aimed at my friend here is the obligatory coverage.
Well I have learned one thing folks. I am sorry but there will never be true DBZ in English. The feat is nearly impossible. It is anime and it is from Japan. We can't replace the sheer genius in the original Dragon Ball Z. While watching the new dub after forcing myself to watch an episode which at first I couldn't stand 10 minutes of at first I realized it wasn't DBZ. It isn't DBZ so it should be put in a different category all together. A reason for could be blamed on well the MAN or corporate America. Think of it this way: Funimation is a large company. Large companies need money lots of money to be well large companies. Aiming DBZ at is original audience which is teens and young adults will not make money. Why because of the American attitude toward cartoons. I have talked about before it is a curse. FUNimation can make money putting on Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network aims its programming at kids. FUNimation makes DBZ for kids by changing the dialogue and editing content. On another culture point; in America Parents would throw a fit if DBZ was presented uncut and think this show will turn them into aggressive homicidal maniacs. So it is chopped up to something unrecognizable. So as you can see we will never get true American translated DBZ. Unless we tell FUNimation we will pay for real DBZ which would be subbed DBZ. I have heard rumors the seasons 3 might be realized subbed on tape later on. We must tell FUNimation we will pay money which is a language they'll listen to. Pioneer who owns the rights to season 1 and 2 might sub them as well we must do the same. Money will make them listen.

Well that was a long editorial oh wait I forgot to say what I thought of the new dub. Well, errr some voices sucked badly like Kuririn, Bulma and Burter. And the background music was horrible and didn't stop literally it was continuos made me want to jump of a cliff or cut off my ears. Oh well it was uncut a slight improvement and some new voices need getting used but are OK and they need to put in more feeling but the process to good DBZ in North America has begun has begun.
