A PLACE UNKNOWN

As I walked through that golden door
I saw a seashore
With water shimmering from the sun
I knew why I had come
The sand so soft between my toes
I felt my eyelids close
I had a vision of a familiar place
That I knew long ago
I smiled as I saw a familiar face
Of a man I used to know
He said to me "The day has come,
For God has sent down His Son
To rescue all of us
The old earth has turned to dust."
It took me a second to realize
That I was under golden skies
This moment I had anticipated all my life
Would never cause me strife
I turned to see a beautiful thing
A man walking upon the shore
I knew it was Jesus, my King
But oh, so much more
He came up to me to say
Welcome my child, this is your day
I fell to my knees to worship Him
My Savior, my Lord, my God
He had something in His hand
That looked like a golden rod
He raised it in the air and said
"Rejoice everyone for it is the day
The earth has come to an end."
Then I heard the most amazing thing
I heard the angels sing
For then I knew the day had come
The day of God and His Son
