I have read Comics Journal articles on Stan, so knew a little on what went on behind the scenes.... but this book really adds to my knowledge. A good book for those that are interested in the history of Stan and of the Comic Book Biz ! |

by Robert M Overstreet In My Opinion, this is the best illustrated book on the market! This grading guide sets a new industry grading standard by replacing the eight traditional grading terms--from poor to mint--with a more accurate one hundred-point numerical system and includes a ten-point whiteness level system, a glossary, and illustrative grading examples... whew! All that in one book !!! The pictures alone are a great help if you're a novice collector, or trying to sell comics that you inherited or bought at a flea market. You can't sell the books properly without knowing what grade they are in. Otherwise you are possibly cheating yourself or your buyers !
