The story of Fedmire...........

One fine day Fedmire decided to leave his small village and head out for Athens where he planned on selling his fine trinkets and on changing the look of Athenians forever with his wonderful alterations at affordable prices, of course.

Athens was a long, long way from his village, so the journey was a hard one for Fedmire, as he was a simple man and not really trained for any type of hardships.

Finally, after many days, Fedmire found Sounion Road which he knew would lead him into the main city. As he was wandering along the road, he found a quaint spot to set up shop. So without delay, he worked and worked and built his tent. When he finished, he cracked open a bottle of his favorite cheap red wine (fedmire had a bit of weakness for booze) and in celebration of his accomplishment, drank the whole thing before setting out to Athens.

On the way to Athens, Fedmire came across a stream where he decided he would stop for a moment and have a drink and splash some water on his face. As he knelt down, he became very dizzy, for he was much more exhausted then he realized, and before he had a chance to grab ahold of the bridge, Fedmire fell into the stream. The water quickly swept him down stream.

When the stream became widened and started moving even faster, Fedmire knew he was in big trouble because he didn't know how to swim. After what seemed like an eternity of trying to hold his breath and dodge trees and rocks, he was dropped into the ocean! Much to his dismay, Fedmire realized this was it. He was going to die. As he sunk faster and faster to the bottom of the ocean, a wonderful and amazing sight overwhelmed him. He was surrounded by dozens of mermaids.

They quickly made circles around him and moved so fast he became dizzy watching them and passed out. When he awoke, he was still under the sea only he could breathe and his feet had been turned into fins! But the mermaids were gone. With only one thought in his mind......to find dry land......Fedmire set out across the vast sea to save himself.

After days of searching, he came upon a light. When he followed it, he found the well at the gate in Athens. Being too steep and slippery to be climbed, Fedmire began to yell as loud as he could to see if anyone could hear him. And with great pleasure to his ears, he did in fact hear the yells of many voices from atop.

After answering many questions from the townsfolk, Fedmire quickly made many friends from above. They showered him with food and wine and for at least a brief time, Fedmire felt there was hope. Though, the townsfolk begged to learn a way to help him out, Fedmire was unable to tell them one. So once he was strong enough to move on, he once again set out to find a way out of the sea.

He came across the god Poseidon, well actually, Poseidon found him and was very happy he had for Poseidon was quite lonely living in the sea. So Poseidon and Fedmire quickly became friends and Fedmire became Poseidon's newest dinner companion. However wonderful the time with Poseidon was, Fedmire really wanted to get out of the water and asked for Poseidon's help. Poseidon refused. He was so content on having someone to talk to, he did not want Fedmire to leave the sea.

During Fedmire's adventures under the water, he would from time to time return to the well and speak with the townsfolk. He became quite fond of a lady named Melodone as she would always throw him bottles of wine.

One day while he was searching the ocean, Fedmire came across a cave. With the knowledge that he finally found dry land, he leaped out of the water into the cave though it was a bit difficult to walk as his feet were still the shape of fins. The cave was filled with hundreds of chests made of gold. Some of the chests were open spilling jewels out their rims. Only one thought came to Fedmire........Pirates!

As he searched the cave for an exit, he found nothing. Sadly and teary eyed, Fedmire lowered himself back in the water. Of course, he did not leave empty handed. He took the most glorious chest he could find. He figured he could use it as a float when he became tired.

On his way back to the well to tell the townspeople of his great find, he felt as though he was being followed, but when he looked, there was nothing behind him. Once at the well, he, of course, started drinking again and joyfully told of his adventure. Then without notice he was attacked. A large creature with a wicked sharp fin on its head began to maul poor Fedmire. The townspeople where in an uproar and began to throw weapons and bombs into the well. While Fedmire struggled with the great creature, he began to lose consciousness again, and when he awoke, he was holding the great creatures head in his hands. He did not know how it happened, so he simply figured he had killed the creature.

After describing the creature to the townspeople, they decided to call it Finhead. Though that was not its real name. Trying hard not to give up hope, Fedmire once again decided to plead with Poseidon to let him out. So with his chest in hand, he spent an evenings dinner with the great god. Fedmire had a plan this time. Loaded to the hilt with wine, Fedmire opened many bottles of wine and he and Poseidon proceeded to drink and drink and drink. Fedmire, being used to the effects of alcohol, was able to maintain some sort of sanity while Poseidon indulged himself to the point of giddiness.

Taking full advantage, Fedmire questioned Poseidon about how to get out of the sea, and without knowing what he was doing Poseidon let it slip that a handsome thief had the tool to do just that. Beaming with the realization that he was free, Fedmire quickly swam back to the well and told the townsfolk how they could help him. The only problem was they had to find this thief. During the celebration of planning Fedmire's escape another giant creature with a fin on its head attacked Fedmire.

This time the townspeople threw Fedmire the ingredients to make a bomb to blow it up, unfortunately Fedmire only ended up blowing himself up. He was greatly injured and the creature carried him away. At this time a pretty bluebird showed up. It lead a group of people over to the catacombs where Finhead had taken Fedmire. After much yelling and insulting, the creature explained why it had taken the poor alterer.

"He took something from me and killed one of my family, he must die. I asked him for the chest and he refused to give it to me. The chest belongs to my family. Then he killed my kin! I am a creature of great honor as is my family and I must revenge the death. However, I will not kill him until he is well again for that would not be a fair fight."

A few days later, Fedmire showed up at the well. How he survived Finhead and made it back safely is still a mystery as Fedmire stayed closed lipped about it. But it was that day that Autoclyus showed up with the means to get Fedmire out of the well! So with the help of all the townspeople, Autoclyus threw the hook into the well, Fedmire grabbed hold of it, and he and his chest were pulled up safely out of the well!

But the story does not end................

After the hugs and well wishes were over, Fedmire gave the chest away to be opened. (During the time he was in the well, there was news of a centaur village that was dying because its water supply had run dry) When Fedmire opened the chest to see what was in it, he found an Amphora. The amphora that would save the village. So the townsfolk and Auto and Fedmire set out to the village. On the way they were attacked, but they did make it, all in one piece, and put the amphora on the statue and the water began to flow to the village again. Fedmire quickly set up tent, for while he was down in the ocean, his old tent had been taken over by a large spider, and everything in it was broken and a mess.

Fedmire altered and sold his trinkets, the village flourished with its new gift of life and everyone was happy! As time passed, things were wonderful. Fedmire would come and visit when he was not designing new toys and tell his stories of the ocean while, of course, drinking like a fish. And his bluebird would always come and sweep him away when he passed out.

Then................................one day while Fedmire was wandering around...(he loved to explore new areas)...............he came across a glorious garden where he found a Perfect Red Rose. Without a second thought, he pulled it out of the ground............

And the story continues.........
