The site is visible from the four wheel drive road. We had to walk up to the site.
View of the site with the solar array and towers. The grounding of this site was
a major undertaking. Grounding cable had to be buried 2 feet under the rock and soil. The
grounding system looks like a large spoked wheel with all wires coming to a single grounding
point. The wires were grounded to a rod every two feet as well.
These views show the crews setting up the building. The box of an old U-Haul truck was a good choice since it will not rust and the mice and animals can't get in.
These views show the electrical set up with the old telephone batteries. They are put in a separate enclosure next to the box.
