Chapter Eight: Alot Has Changed

"Soup," finished Jennifer, looking away from Taylor's eyes.

"Thank you dear. Now if you like you can go spend time with your friends I'll be fine,"

"I gotta go I'll see ya," said Taylor.

Jennifer shoved the tray into Zac's hands and ran out the door to get to Taylor.

"Oh boy wonder what's gonna happen," said Zac looking at the tray with Jennifer's grandmother's lunch on it.

"Tay wait," said Jennifer.

"I have nothing to say to you," said Taylor walking back to his house.

"What??"

Taylor stopped and turned around, "I said.."

"I know what you said, gosh Taylor just let me apologize,"

"No,"

"Why??"

"You didn't let me apologize, so why should I let you apologize??"

"I'm sorry," whispered Jennifer, looking down.

"No Jennifer, I'm not listening to you,"

"TAYLOR!!! You're acting like a stupid baby!!!"

"Well excuse me!!!"

"Taylor?? What happened to that 'I'll love you know matter what near or far together or not'??"

"Well alot has changed in the past 3 and a half months,"

"Oh yeah, I get it you're a star, you don't have time for us low lifes, especially for someone like your ex-girlfriend to apologize. Now if you'll excuse me Taylor Hanson I have to go attend to my grandmother," Jennifer started walking to the front door and she stopped and turned around, "And just to let ya know, that phrase: 'I'll love you know matter what near or far together or not' was what gave me the strength to stay alive through all the beatings at night in Chicago," with that she walked inside leaving Taylor standing in his yard.
