Chapter Fifteen

Isaac had been walking for a half hour. He didn't want to go back to the house. Not now. He turned a corner and saw that he was on Nicole's street. He went over to the house, and in the backyard. He went over to the shed and got a ladder. He walked over to Nicole's bedroom window and set the ladder against the house. After climbing it, he sighed in relief when he found the window was open. He climbed in and turned on her light. He took her bag that she used for atheletics, that she took in school, and went through her drawers to find some clothes for her to change in. After zipping up the bag he began to climb out of the window. But with the light of the moon he saw a familiar bear on her bed. He climbed back in and turned on her lamp. He picked up the bear and saw it was the bear he gave her for her birthday when she turned eight. It looked old and worn out. He looked at it once more and then gently placed it in her bag.

When Isaac walked in his house, he saw Taylor and Zac sitting on the bottom steps of the stair case.

"Hey guys, is she ok??"

Taylor and Zac jumped up and walked towards Isaac. "There you are, where were you??" asked Taylor.

"It doesn't matter, is she ok??" he asked again.

"OMG!! What happened to your fist??" asked Zac, examining his brother's fist.

"I SAID IT DOESN'T MATTER!! NOW, IS NICOLE OK OR NOT!!" he yelled.

"Isaac Hanson shut up right now!" said his mother coming out of the guest room.

"Mom! You're back from Ohio!! Is Nicole ok??" he asked, running towards her.

"Yes dear, she's fine. We took her to the hospital on your little hour walk, and they found no trace of cocaine in her body. They said she wasn't used to the alcohol so she just passed out. She's asleep now," she informed.

"Can I go see her??"

She smiled, "Yeah go right on in,"

He walked over to the couch and picked up the bag he brought in and walked into Nicole's room.

Nicole, when she woke up the next morning, realized she was in a room that was not her own. She looked out the window and watched the rain drops hit the window. She looked around the room to see if there was any clue on where she could be. But all she saw was her athletic bag on the dresser.

She tried going back to sleep but there was a little knock on the door. After the knock some one came in.

"Hey," smiled Isaac, walking towards her.

"Oh Isaac, I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry," she began to cry. She remembered everything that night. Everything before her passing out, that is.

"Shh, shh. It's ok," he began to wrap his arms around her and he started to stroke her hair.

"No! It's not ok, I promised," she pulled away and looked in Isaac's eyes. "I promised never to do that again. And I broke it. I broke it Isaac,"
