My story starts out when my dad's job transferred us to Tulsa. Of course I was furious.
"But mom!! What about the volleyball team?? Or the softball team?? I mean I'll be leaving that and all my friends behind, not to mention Darrel. You know long distant relationships don't work out!!" I whined.
"Jennifer, do you want your father to loose his job?? If you don't then you better march up those stairs and start packing," exclaimed my mother.
"FINE!!!" I ran up to my room and popped in my favorite CD, Middle of Nowhere. I hit the button til the number 3 glowed in red. Soon enough my favorite song, Weird, filled the room.
"Isn't it weird, isn't it strange, even though we're just two strangers on this run away train..." I sang along with the gorgeous voices of Hanson. Then it just hit me. Hanson lives in Tulsa. OH MY GOSH!! I'm gonna be living in the same city as the Taylor Hanson!!! I might like this move after all!! My thoughts were interupted by my older brother, Robbie, banging on my door telling me either to turn it off or turn it down. He might be 17 but he can't tell me what to do, so I just left it at the volume it was on.
An hour later I had all my clothes packed, and started taking the stuff off my shelves and wrapping them up in newspaper.
Knock, Knock
"Jennifer supper's ready. What are you doing??" asked my dad.
"Oh well I was planning on hating you for choosing the job transfer to Tulsa, but now I love you for it. See these posters on the wall??"
My dad nodded.
"Well it just dawned on me that these gorgeous brothers live in Tulsa,"
"Oh well that's cool honey. Come on, we're having your favorite tonight, chicken fried steak, mashed potatos, and peas with cream of mushroom sauce mixed in,"
I was practically drooling. I ran past my dad, and straight to the kitchen.
"Momma, I'm sorry about the way I acted. I can't wait til we move," I kissed my mom on the cheek and proceeded to get my food.
"Why all of a sudden change of heart??"
"I'M GONNA BE LIVING IN THE SAME TOWN AS HANSON!!!" I exclaimed.
"Hey Jen,"
"Yeah, Rob??" with excitement in my voice, I turned around.
"SHUT-UP!!"
