Chapter Ten

Nicole sat on her porch swing for about an hour just playing with a loose strand of thread on her blue jean shorts.

She sighed, and rested her head in her palm. She wish Isaac didn't have to be so hard headed to understand she didn't want him kissing her like he did.

Right as she was about to drift off to sleep, she saw a car nearing her house, and slowing down. When it did she looked up to see who it was. It was Isaac. She was about to get up and go inside, but decided not to. She saw him walking up the sidewalk and up her porch steps. When he noticed her sitting in the dark, he stopped. He stuck his hands in his pockets, and looked at her. She just sat there indian style.

"Hi," he said, quietly.

She didn't say anything.

He sighed. He went and sat next to her on the swing. Nicole looked at Isaac's face, he was just staring at the fire flys that flew around. She raised her hand and slowly put it on top of his. He looked at her hand then to her face.

"Nicole, I'm so sorry," he whispered.

Nicole didn't say anything. Instead she just layed her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his waist. He put his arm around her and they just sat on her porch in silence.

Taylor opened the glass door, and watched as Lindsey walked through. Once she was in the house, he stepped in and slid the door shut.

"Where's everyone??" asked Lindsey.

"Isaac's still at Nicole's, Zac's somewhere around the house, the little ones are in their rooms, Dad's in his office doing some paper work and Mom's out of town at my aunts house," answered Taylor.

"Whoa!!" she started to giggle. "Well it's 9:30, I better get going," she said, while walking towards the front door. "I hope things between you and Zac won't get to hectic,"

Taylor took both of Lindsey's hands in his. "Don't worry about it. All I gotta do is simply explain that I'm not as deeply in love with Brittnee as he thinks I am,"

"You think he'll believe you??"

"No, but I'll make him believe me," they both started to laugh. "Anyways I'll see you tomorrow ok?"

"Ok,"

Taylor started to move closer, but was interupted.

"Tay-Tay you're gonna kiss Lindsey??" asked Avery, covering her mouth just giggling away.

"I...uh...no no not at all now go back to bed. Come on Linds," with that he led her out to the front porch. "Now I think my goal was to kiss you goodnight,"

"Yeah I think so," as he leaned forward, someone pulled up in the driveway. Isaac stepped out of the car "Hey Taylor, hey Lindsey," he said, putting his keys in his pockets walking up onto the porch.

"You know what?? I don't care who sees us. I'm tired of sneaking around," after Taylor said this, he kissed Lindsey infront of Isaac. Isaac just stood there, shocked. "See you tomorrow, Lindsey,"

She giggled. "See ya,"

As she disappeared down the sidewalk, Isaac gave Taylor a look that said "I don't know what you're getting your self into"

"Taylor, look, I don't care about you sneaking around with Lindsey, but you know you are in some serious lecturing with dad,"

"You think I don't know that Ike?? Do you think this was easy for me?? I love Lindsey, ok?? And right now, I don't care what's in store for me. As long as I have Lindsey right by my side, the whole world can come to an end and I wouldn't give a flip. So just please stop warning me on what lies ahead cause at the moment I don't care. You worry about you, I worry about me and we'll all be happy. Ok??"

Isaac was speechless all he could do was nod.

"Ok, now I'm gonna go take a shower and go to bed,"
