ALL NEW GOLDRUSH

It is not just a new look, we have addressed all the formulations and made some improvements where we felt it was needed. We have also included some exciting all new flavours.
THE NEW GOLDRUSH 1.7kg RANGE

PALE ALE We have decided to "get real" and stop calling our Light Ale "draught". Australian commercial beers marketed as Pale Ales are all light in colour so we believe that it is a reasonable description of our product previously known as `Draught' DESCRIPTION: A moderately hopped, lighter bodied ale. Easy drinking, pleasant aroma, clean and refreshingly uncomplicated. Your stock standard ale. |

AUSTRALIAN LAGER One of the few true lagers on the market (supplied with a true lager yeast). DESCRIPTION: In the magazine "Ausbeer 13", Colin Penrose wrote "Straw coloured clear lager with medium carbonation and very good head retention. Malty aroma with floral hop bouquet. Well balanced malty flavour with medium hop bitterness pleasant hop aftertaste. A medium bodied lager, crisp, fresh and clean." - Thanks Colin that'll do us! |
PILSNER Again a true to style Pilsner supplied with a real lager yeast. DESCRIPTION: One of the two of our formulations that we felt needed no change, so we've left it alone. Those brewers who are `in the know' about Goldrush Pilsner don't worry that classic hop finish on the palate, and in the nostrils, has not been tampered with! |
COUNTRY NEW (A
WINNNER) Despite the fact that this can is supplied with an ale yeast it still managed to take out FIRST PLACE in the 1995 National Championships, Australian Lager Category. DESCRIPTION: Nice malt to hop balance, not too bitter. Fresh aroma, crisp finish with excellent hop flavour. |
PALE RIDER WHEAT BEER Introduced in the Goldrush Premium range and has proved very popular, we have `fine tuned' the hop balance. DESCRIPTION: Pale coloured lager style wheat beer. Beautiful creamy head, full bodied with a clean well hopped finish and fine aroma, without phenolics. |
DIGGERS BITTER This is the other formulation we considered `untouchable'. It has such good hop characteristics that is a great can for brewers who like a bit of extra hop bite and flavour without having to put it in themselves. DESCRIPTION: The first choice for brewers looking for a bit of bite. This pale, generously hopped bitter exhibits exceptional hop flavour and aroma, whilst not ignoring malt/hop balance. |
TEXAS T - BLACK ALE We have increased the hopping rate particularly on the oil side as well as adding a special extra dark malt from the U.K. If you can detect some grain flavour, your right- there's some fresh hops too. DESCRIPTION: A `black' drinkers special. Going back to the roots of the Hunter style in both appearance and flavour. Will also appeal to English brown ale enthusiasts. The addition of fresh hop pellets, crystal and chocolate grain, as well as the special extra dark malt powder give this beer its unique well rounded malt hop finish. |
BLACK STUMP STOUT At last a real stout in a can. The traditional ingredients have been skilfully blended to ensure a stout of exceptional quality. We have not skimped on the use of hop essences and oils, in addition fresh Pride of Ringwood has been used as a late kettle hop. Crystal and black grains are also an integral component of this fine formulation. Goldrush `Black Stump Stout' sets a new benchmark in home brew stouts. DESCRIPTION: ABSOLUTLY WONDERFUL!! This opaque black stout exhibits all the essential stout characteristics. From the positive hop nose to the classic roast grain flavours, with extra full body and slightly harsh nutty flavour. The complexity of the finish make this a `must brew' for stout lovers. |
POLAR BEER VERY light colour, I've heard it described as `albino ale' and have no argument, and make no apology. It is intentionally sparingly hopped to give the brewer either a light coloured and flavoured beer or the perfect vehicle for creating delicate hop flavours and aromas without having to battle our hop formulation. DESCRIPTION: Dry finishing with extra light colour and flavour. Perfect partner for Brewiser Finishin Hops. |

ST. ARNOU ALE St. Arnou is the Patron Saint of Brewers. St. Arnou was acclaimed bishop of Metz, France in the year 612 and spent his holy life warning peasants about the dangers of drinking water. He taught that beer was safe, and "from man's sweat and God's love, beer came into the world." It goes without saying that we have taken considerable care in the formulation of this brew. DESCRIPTION: This delightful light amber ale has a full round palate. As well as isomerised hop extract, this beer contains a specially selected varietal hop oil. This provides an excellent balance of flavour and aroma. This fine beer exhibits excellent malt / hop balance and is worthy of the name - `St Arnou.' |
