Anacronyms
An anacronym is sort of like an abbreviation. They are not in the dictionary, but they are commonly used. I mean, what would you rather write? BRB, or be right back. Some common anacronyms: 1. BRB: Be Right Back: Gotta go, I'll BRB.

Advitars
An advitar is a picture next to your name. Most chat rooms support advitars. Tripod does not. An advitar is really easy to get next to your name. some chat rooms have a special place to pick what advatar you want. If not, they have a place to put the URL of your advatar. Simply go to a website with an pic you like. If you have a Mac, hold your mouse button down, until a list of choices appears. Pick "copy picture URL". When you get to the chat room, paste it into the picture URL bar. If you have windows, use the right button on your mouse. If you used the talking smile on the top of this page, when you chat it would look something like this: |
Smilies
A smilie is very simple. It is an easy way to state how you feel. Here is a list of smilies and their feelings: |
Stats
Stats tell about a person. Stats took me awhile to figure out. You can put whatever you want in your stats. Age, Sex, Looks, State or country, height, whatever. A sample somebody's stats might look like this: |
The Chat Room Laws
You don't HAVE to obey the laws, but most people would prefer it if you do. 1. A lot of people don't like people yelling, "DOES NE1 WANNA CHAT?????" it gets annoying and takes up too much screen space. Instead, just ask some1 if they wanna chat. 2.
