Make a giant spider for your yard

5 33 gallon black trash bag 
Lots of leaves or newspapers
White paint

stuff one bag fully for the body, paint on a scarry face and fangs

loosy stuff 4 bags and put a tie in the middle of each.. shape like legs
(1 bag=2 legs)

tape legs to understide of body and put on your porch

for even more fun put up a fake giant cobweb behind it

SCRAP CORNER 

Make sachets for your friends or yourself from scraps of fabric. Cut scraps into hearts, circles, or squares. The top fabric is more dressy if you use lace. Sew sides together leaving space for turning and filling with poppouri. Sew opening closed and add a ribbon bow or ribbon roses.

A set of these in a basket makes a nice gift.

Basket Vines From Your Backyard

If you weave baskets here's a list of what might be growing in your back yard--wisteria, grapevine, honeysuckle, virginia creeper, and akebia. Pick up a good basketry book and try it out.
