Windlass-Swept-Hilt Rapiers

These Renaissance-style Rapiers trace their origins to early 17th century Europe, where swordplay with the rapier was considered an essential part of a gentleman's education and was often used in resolving gentlemanly disagreements.

All of these rapiers are the main gauche have hand-forged high carbon spring steel blades and are all steel helted with the exception of WS-H344 which has a brass hilt.
Grips are intricately wrapped in twisted steel wire and leather scabbards are included.

Musketeer Rapiers


These classic Rapiers offer the re-enactor and the collector a sword reminiscent of the times of the musketeer.
The superbly tempered high-carbon spring steel blades are made in France with button tips for safety.
The balance and "feeL' of these pieces is outstanding. Three cup hilt variations are offered to suit individual preference.
To order Schlaeger blade add -Bto the reference number.
All of the below are 42 1/2" Overall length (with the exception of DCAA-51 which is The Creusehilt Main Gauche, a left-handed weapon.
310-AE The Rapier Scabbard fits all Rapiers and is sold seperately for $50.00, it is all=leather.
302-AE, The Six-Loop Frog is designed to suspend the rapier scabbard from a waist belt and sells for $20.00.

SCA Weapons


These duelling swords are authorized for use in rapier fencing by many SCA chapters and other re-enactment organizations. These swords are built by C.A.S from blades and componenents supplied by France Lames, the world renowned manufacturer of sport fencing weapons, these pieces feature superbly tempered blades and the time-tested hilt components, including tactile rubber grips. Blades used are the 35" double-wide epee, the 35" Schlaeger blade (developed by France Lames for SCA combat and stage combat, the oval cross-section blade has the look, feel and "clang" of the 18th century rapier blades, but it has a rounded tip for safety and is more durable than the sport blades.) and the 18" flexible main gauche training blade.
All are button-ended for safety. Guards are aluminum except for the 2 and 8 models.
