The Folderol Interviews
Honey Preston
The mind reader from Kentucky recently commented that the act of reading
another's mind was like "a vibrating tingle of sound that travels up
your spine into your brain to be decoded. It's really more of a physical
experience than you might think. The sender is almost present inside of
your body, the connection is so strong." I asked Ms. Preston just whose
thoughts she could pick up on, and under what circumstances. Apparently
the person must be trying to send her thoughts; pushing them, as it were,
into her mind. The sender need not be "trained" in sending messages. She
claims we are all senders. She can then pick up on this "audio-mental
pressure" and must then open her mind and let the vibrations or messages
come. It is indeed a voluntary matter. Ms. Preston assures me that she
is not able to read the minds of those who do not wish to be read.
However, she did answer my next question without my having asked it,
and I did not feel as though I was pushing. She first discovered she
had this remarkable power when her family appeared on "Family Feud".
She found that although she would have no answer to the question, when
Mr. Dawson stood before her and the camera was focused on her, she would
hear the voices of her family members push softly into her mind, giving
her possible answers. Unfortunately, the Prestons did not win their family
feud due in most part, she claims, to her inept cousin Willard. On a
brighter note, though, at least the kin folks weren't turned into frogs...
which, Ms. Preston likes to remind me, are said to have amazing powers
of telepathy, though also possessed of a very crude language system.
