This project starts with a stock 30cc
Homelite.
The pictures that follow will show some of the work on the homelite engine.
This is the squish band remover. It is simple and works very well.
The tool is made from brass and is wrapped with tape to protect the cylinder wall. The top is slotted to hold a 3/16" High Speed Steel cutter that has relief cut in the top and sides so it will only remove material from the top of the cylinder. There are 2 holes drilled and tapped in the top of the tool but only one hole is used the other is a backup hole I drilled and tapped.
Here you can see the squish band before it is removed.
