The Real MsIndy
"Levitating Lovers"
This was a postcard I received from a friend a couple years ago. Below the picture it said "Go beyond reason to Love. It is Safe. It is the only safety". I really liked it then, but I've recently come to realize that we must sometimes go where we fear, and that's *Beyond Reason*, and if we can allow ourselves to do that, there is safety! However, I don't believe it's the *only* Safety, before I could trust love, I had to find my *safety* in God, and that's the *only true safety I know*. So have you figured out that I'm a Romantic at heart? :)

A Little About Me
First of all, I'm a "Very Grateful Recovering Alcoholic", for more on that see my recovery page.
Ok, there's more to IndyLady than AA, but without it, the rest wouldn't mean much at all. I'm the mother of a Beautiful 19 year old daughter, what a blessing. Her name is Jackie, and another blessing is that we've made it to now, and are still friends LOL. Jackie is in her Sophomore Year of College, studying Art Education. She hopes to go back to her High School after graduation and teach photography there. To see a self portrait that she drew in high school
I Love listening to music, Blues, 70's Good Old Rock & Roll, and Some Jazz. I read alot, mostly Self Help, and Recovery related books. I'm trying to learn more about me, and hopefully reading will be cheaper than a Therapist. :)))) I also enjoy Cross Stitching, Romantic Movies, and obviously Computers. Like I said earlier I Love San Francisco, and there's a place there that is hard for me to describe. It's the Palace of Fine Arts. For those of you that have been there you might know what I mean, I'm not sure what it is, but there's an energy that I get when I'm there. It's awesome. Ok now that you've concluded that I'm totally nuts. Continue on to see "My" Palace by clicking on the picture below.

*1999 UPDATE*
In the early summer of 1998 I had this brain fart that I might like to become an EMT, so I started asking around about it, and eventually found a friend on the Fire Dept. that offered to let me ride out on the ambulance with them to see if I'd like it before investing the time & money into school. Well like it isn't a good word. I totally, 100% fell in love. My first day riding an ambulance was July 22, 1998, and by Oct. I was in a class to become a First Responder, so when I did ride I could assist and do more hands on work. January 5th I started EMT Class, and finished that May 5th. I'm still not working for an Ambulance service, but that will be happening very soon I hope. My future plans now are to do this for a year or so, then to go on to become a Paramedic. I've also joined a Fire Dept. as a Volunteer. Pretty wild stuff for someone that has never pursued anything in their life that they could fail at.
I could go on forever but I'm sure that it would start to bore you. To go back to my page, and continue on your adventure through IndyLand click your mouse 3 Times and say There's no place like IndyLand. LOL Only kidding.
