This was the
best part of my day at the Skip Barber School of
Performance Driving at the Lime Rock Park in Lakeville,
Connecticut. We started out practicing threshhold braking
in Dodge Neons. Then we had some training on the physics
of driving. The skid pad was the next challenge to learn
skip recovery in Dodge Dakotas. Lunch came from the track
hamburg stand. Returning to the skid pad, we practiced
cornering in Dakotas. Then we went to the autocross
course to learn to drive on a real track in Dodge Viper
GTSs . Finally we had a tag-team 4-lap each competition
for the best times. |
