I have found a query for a Mack D. Cooper b. VA supposedly a horse trader, whose daughter, Emealia A. Frances Cooper married James Edward Jeanes.

1840 census is 1st time Mac shows being married.
1850 census doesn’t list Ann.
Ann isn’t dead because she sold her dower rights on May 30, 1855.
Maybe Ann went to live with married daughter?

Proof of Marriage from deed signed by John W. Brown, states he is their son-in-law. Deed date was Sept of 1852

In the 1820 Warren Co., TN Census, I have found a Reuben Cooper household with a wife, 2 sons & 2 daughters.
Reuben Cooper's 1st four children's age's, match those in Warren Co. TN in 1820.
Many of the surnames in 1820 Warren County are in McNairy County in 1830.
Nancy D. COOPER b. apx 1810-20 VA m. John W. Brown b. 1800-10 proof of marriage… deed date Sept. 10, 1852. Another deed was written dated Sept 1853. Nancy had to sign the deed because she was one of the legal heirs to her father's land.
In the 1840 census The Browns had 5 daughters. I am not sure if this is my Brown family. I do not find the Browns in McNairy Co., TN in 1850. I believe that they moved to adjoining counties or went to Mississipp. They were close enough to come to McNairy County to sign deeds. At this time, I am not sure of Nancy's birth order. I feel that she was born in 1818.

I have found estate inventories & settlement records showing Lucy & James Nethery's eldest son Samuel, as Administrator for both Rufus K. Cooper & his mother, Mary Cooper. Mary Cooper is buried in the Nethery Cemetery in McNairy Co., TN just a couple yards from Lucy Nethery.

In 1870, Madison is living with a family by the name of Shelton, not far from Lucy Cooper Nethery's home. Madison and his wife moved to Sevier Co., TN in 1900 . They traveled with a wagon train to Arkansas. While moving to Saline County, AR in 1865, Nancy Elizabeth Geeslin Cooper dies accidentally. She is buried at Midway Cemetery, Midway, Clark County, AR. Source Sibyl M. Davis, gr-granddaughter of Madison Bell Cooper, 1900, 1910, 1920 Census and Madison's death certificate. Madison's granddaughter BESSIE McCALLISTER WOOLF, of Jonesboro, AR researched Madison, Rufus Leander & James Wiley Cooper families several years ago and shared her notes and records with her family.
