The Worship of Lord Jagannatha:
The Lord of the Universe

Om! jagamohana-pari-munda yau!

It is said that Shree Jagannatha is the Primeval God, Lord Vishnu. He is the combined Threefold Personality of Godhead, the trìmüti. In whatever form (or formless) way one worships God, all worship goes ultimately to this Divine Source. In India there are four temples or mandirs which are more Sacred than all others. The fourth of these is the Temple Jagannatha, Shree Jagannatha Puri. Of the four, it is this temple which rules the fourth and present age of Kali Yuga. What follows is a puja or worship method that I often employ. I originally received it from Swami Satyananda Sarasvati in a slightly different form. While it is possible to "rush through" this puja in ten minutes or so, it is recommened that one spend at least an hour on it in order to savor its many delicacies. Feel free to customize it in any way which is conducive to your own spiritual Path.
Om Namah Vasudevaya! Om Tat Sat!
