Children of the Gods
Prior to retirement, Colonel Jack O'Neill led an expedition through the Stargate,
an ancient gateway that allows instant travel to other galaxies. He is called
back to duty by General Hammond.
O'Neill defied the order to destroy Abydos, the world he visited then.
He also reveals that Daniel Jackson, the scientist
who was thought to have died on that mission, is also alive on Abydos.
O'Neill and Capt. Carter an astrophysicist, return through the
Stargate to Abydos. Jackson has an Abydan wife Sha're, and Skaara, an Abydan
boy O'Neill befriended is there also. Jackson has discoverd,
a giant hieroglyphic cartouche, it seems to be a map of Stargates throughout the
galaxy.
The evil alien Apophis, emerges from the Stargate, and kidnaps Sha're
and Skaara. O'Neill and Jackson are determined to follow Apophis, and rescue them.
Tracking them to the planet Chulak, they find that Sha're is now queen to Apophis,
she is now a Goa'uld.
General Hammond sends a nuclear weapon through the Stargate to destroy
the planet to stop Apophis using life forms from around the
galaxy as hosts.
