"Variances" Tease Presentation

All following scenes take place in North Dakota.


	"I'm Dr. Jarod Hazel.  I was just taking a few samples from 
Jack's body.  I'm going to analyze them and try to figure out what 
happened to him."
	Mulder opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by 
his pretty partner.
	"I want to perform an autopsy on this body, Mr. Butte.  That 
means I need this body moved to a secure location."
	"Okay...but I'll need a warrant first," replied
 the dead men man.
	"Look here, Mr. Butte, this is an 'OFFICIAL' FBI 
investigation, and if you think that we need a warrent, well then, then, 
I suggest you read the small print on our FBI licenses, but, not right 
now because, um, um, we have work to do," replied Mulder, as Jarod 
laughed to himself in the background.
	Jeff just gave him a weird look, and said, "Well, I guess I'll 
call my cousin to move the body for you then," Shaking his head, he 
left.
	"Nice job there, Mulder," Scully smirked.
	"I agree," said Jarod.
	"Well, you know me.  Always up for those impromptu 
speeches," Mulder replied, grinning.


LATER


	"This, uh, bacterium, did not just form."
	"You mean someone planted it?" asked the female doctor.
	"Yes, it's someone's sick joke."
	"Or experiment," mumbled Mulder.
	Jarod heard him and said, "Are you refering to an 
extra-terrestrial experiment?"
	"Maybe..."
	"Well, it is a very real possibility.  You see, this virus does 
not just kill humans..."


LATER


	"No escaping this one, Boy Wonder!" she said, happy to be 
in control once more.  Jarod just grinned at her.  "What is so funny?!" 
she screamed.
	"Oh, just wondering whether you're trying to fool me, or 
whether you actually don't know that Agent Mulder took out the 
cartridge when he took your gun from you," replied Jarod.  Miss 
Parker looked at the gun in disgust, and her eyes squinted almost 
completely shut.  She crammed the gun back in the holster and turned 
like she was going to go sit back down, but instead wheeled around 
and tackled Jarod.


LATER


	She checked her hair one last time, then walked out of the 
bathroom and down the hall towards Mulder's room.  As she 
approached the room, she heard a commotion coming from inside.  
She hurried into the room, to find the doctors and nurses panicing, 
rushing all around the room doing their various emergency tasks.  
There was a brief pause of movement as a high pitched tone 
sounded, marking the steady, straight, green line on the monitor.  
There was a second where nothing but that horrid noise could be 
heard, and then the doctors rushed into unsuccessful recussitation.



LATER


	Jarod walked into the cafeteria.  He stopped with wide eyes 
when he saw slumped on the floor in front of him Miss Parker. 
 Immediately he thought of his thumbless pursuer, the only one that 
would be here that was actually more ruthless than Miss Parker.  His 
troubled thoughts became reality as Lyle stepped into view, preceded 
only by his gun.
