Jeff's Review of Sarah Brightman's Fly

My Review of Fly

#1 Time to Say Goodbye

This song is very beautiful. It is the duet w/ Andrea Bocelli and is sung magnificentally by Sarah and Bocelli. This song can also be found on Time to Say Goodbye.

#2 The Fly

This song a bit unusual, but still 'going to your head' as the song would say. But, this is a marvellous song to begin with on this album, and this is the wonderful Theme Song.

#3 Why

This piece really shows the range of Sarah. With wonderful lyrics as 'Why, why don't we try Like the wind we'll learn how to fly again' This song is a beautiful 5:11 piece.

#4 Murder in Mairyland Park

This particular piece is odd, but still enjoyable. The piano is played by Sarah Brightman as in some other songs.

#5 How Can Heaven Love Me

This is probably my favorite song on this CD. It is dueted with Chris Thompson. This is a beautiful , (well, not beautiful, it is very rock/poppy) Someone could sit down and listen to this over and over again.

#6 A Question of Honour

This song starts out with the opera piece 'La Wally' and then fades into the synths and turns into a beautiful piece sung for Henry Maske in his retirement boxing match.

#7 Ghost In The Machinery

Hmmm. Another odd song, but still - like Murder - still enjoyable. But rockier than murder, this gets you singing this song.

#8 You Take My Breath Away

A beautiful song, only 12 lines in the song, but still manages almost seven minutes of enjoyment. This song ends with a techno-sounding finish.

#9 Something in the Air

Dueted with Tom Jones, (can you beleive it? Tom Jones?) This song starts out with a beautiful violin and comes into the song opening title 'THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE AIR) Very well done, I think.

#10 Heaven is Here

An another beautiful sung just by Sarah and no backgroung vocals until the end. This song uses great synths and a piano for the beat.

#11 I Loved You

A great song on the CD. This song is blended in with I Loved You, and makes you feel that you are just floating through the beautiful songs. Very wonderful song, I would say.

#12 Fly

This song starts out with sounds from space. You can hear astronauts talking in the background and then comes in to full hearing pleasure. This song contains only one of the sections from the song 'The Fly'.
