Jenny's Poems

THE BEST AND THE WORST OF TIMES

The teen years - What can I say?
Some wish they could always stay,
Some wish they would go away.

The boyfriends, the love,
The fighting, the hate,
The first time ever going,
Out on a date.

The friends, the secrets,
The closeness you feel,
A bond that no one,
Ever could steal.

Off to school each day,
Looking your best,
After cramming all night,
For that algebra test.

What should I wear
To be noticed by that guy?
Sometimes I wish that I
wasn't so shy.

The ups, and the downs,
The hopes, and the dreams,
To us, it's so much more
than it seems.

The good times, the bad times,
The tears, and the fears.
It's all just a part of,
Those wonderful teen years!

TOGETHER

How can we make it better
in this world today?

There are so many problems
but there's got to be a way.

Murder, racism,
starvation too.

We all need to help and do
what we can do.

I see the homeless man,
who has nothing to eat.

I see the little children
sleeping on the street.

Sometimes I stop and wonder,
does anyone even care?

In order to make a difference,
we have to be aware.

So right now look around you,
and see what can be done.

And once we get this world cleaned up
the battle will be won.

I'm sure that there is something that
each of us can do.

Together we can make it better..
Together, Me and You.

"I made up a poem today in English. There were 3 rules. No Ryhme, Makes no sense, and everyone participates. We made a Comparison + Comparison + Wild Dream + Emotion = Poem."

My dog's blanket is delerious.
Blankets are like chocolates and melons.
A 10 foot fork was laying around.
My Mother got hungry and ate my dog!
