CATalog of the Week #3: Rose's Doll House

Hello all, and welcome to the third edition of CATalog of the Week. In case you've been keeping track, yes, it is late, and I apologize! This CATalog Coordinator has been trying to get a CAT nap in--just how did my life get so busy lately? Anyway, on to the juicy details.

This week's theme is a different one--the best way I can describe it is "Miniature Scenes." Are you the type of person who likes to look at a scene in miniature, finds a certain item in it, and drools over it until you just have to have it for yourself? If so, this week's CATalog is for you--Rose's Doll House.

You may not know about Rose's. They've been around for a while, but just switched to new owners. Their catalogs don't come out very often, but when they do, look out! This is one catalog that will become thumbed, over and over again.

Most catalogs give you pictures of a single item, plus maybe a description, and then the price. But Rose's is different--each page features a miniature room or scene. You just look at the scene, decide what you like, and then below the picture you'll find ALL the items featured in the picture for sale, along with any details and the price. All the items are available, and you won't see any "for display only" messages. This is my kind of catalog...and if you're a "I want it, I gotta have it" type person, this catalog will soon become one of your favorites, too!

The best part of all, is that this catalog is absolutely free. I just spoke to Rose's today. There are about 500 more of the catalog I posess (The '96-'97 Catalog with the Tara Dollhouse on the cover) and they are free for the asking--simply call 1-800-926-9093 and ask for one.

So you can get a little taste of what is to come, let me highlight the miniature scenes in this catalog for you: "The Den," page 2; "The Sun Room," page 3; "Wedded Bliss," page 4; "The Library," page 5; "A Decorator's Delight," page 6; "The Walnut Room," page 7; "Sweet Shop," page 8; "The Playroom," page 9; "Private Time," page 10; "Mary Alice's Room," page 11; "Merry Christmas," page 12; "The Team," page 13; "Country Kitchen," page 14; "Billy's Room," page 15; "An Old Fashioned Bath," page 16; "Master Bedroom," page 17; "The Salon," page 18; "Antiques," page 19; A Cook's Delight; page 20; "Annie's Room," page 21; "The Garden Shop, page 22, and last but not least, pages 23 and 24 feature various dollhouses. Every page of this catalog is in full color. My 5 cats give this CATalog: A FOUR PAW RATING, meaning, CATNIP! Snatch up this CATalog, fast!

Cambridge especially likes the little people (Cambridge, if you'll remember, is the cat of mine who takes the Mommy doll out of my DH to our real-life livingroom, then lays her on the carpet and licks her face. Always the Mommy doll, never any other...) The other cats don't much notice the wonderful pictures in this catalog but say it is just right for laying on because it becomes so well-thumbed and, shall we say (because you'll be referring back to it often), familiar to all.
