The Race
Death comes
vividly, slashing your tires as he flies by.
His nostrils
flair up in the stench of your fear.
His toenails
curl at the sound of your restrained breathing.
You strain
to get to the Statue of Liberty, just a few yards away.
He races with
you, enjoying your fleeting footsteps echoning in the bowels of the city.
"Run faster!
Run faster!" he hecticly bellows in your general direction.
You try and
try, but you just can't seem to lose this scumpuppy.
Adrenalin
shoots you forward, barely dodging his sickle.
You've almost
made it, hurry up, he's gaining up with you.
There are
only 5 feet to go for that blissful salvation.
He attacks.
Darkness fills
your eyes, filling your mind, your world.
The blackness
flows lanquidly through your senses.
A pinpiont
races foward, growing with every heartbeat.
The light
begins as blindness forces its way into you.
Darkness fades
away, screaming its pain aloud.
The noise
is startling, your fear becomes unleashed again.
There are
only 2 feet of asphalt left to tread across for safety.
You realize
that a chance, a hope still lay ahead.
Bones creak
and crack as your knees lift you foward.
Your mind
is on fire, pressure builds and builds, yearning for release.
The Statue
of Liberty beckons all for freedom, the better way of life.
This time,
the beautiful lady is salvation for a damned soul.
Shoes are
terrible inventions, shoelaces are even worse.
For it is
a shoelace that gives Death a hard-earned victory.
That little
white shoelace you stepped on, causing you to fall.
Death moves
cautiously foward, breathing in deep your terror.
Tasting the
sweet taste of an uncontrolled hatred towards the unknown.
His bug-like
eyes drill holes in your head.
Burning, twisting,
into the very depths of your soul.
Stillness
comes over your lifeless body, everything else is calm.
Ode To A Bitch
I can remember her vividly,
Her long dark hair flew
wildly in the wild,
Casually slapping my
face as I drew near,
Her sleepy eyes brought
tears to my own,
Her petite ears brought
the smallest whisper to her,
I remember her as she
frolicked in the sun,
Rolling about in lazy
pastures,
Then lying still in the
basking sun,
I remember when she died,
My world came crashing
down,
Swimming through a lake
of my tears,
I struggled fiercely
for a fresh start,
Knowing I had lost her
forever.
Summer
Storms
Quietly
dripping in the noonday sun
Wetness
coats flags raised half-mast
Summer
storms bing peace
Where death
brought grief
Here
I sit, my mind filled with you
Singing
to myself, making othrs fill blue
Wishing
many dreams, hoping they come true
All
of these wishes are of being with you
Together
we will be soon
This
love I feel will last and last
Through
all the pain of not seeing you
But
one thing, do you feel the same?
Loneliness
is a feeling you cured me of
The
emotion I feel now is love
There's
only one place I'd rather be
With
you and having you say you love me
But
on thing, do you feel the same?
Here
I sit, my mind filled with you
Singing
to myself and making others feel blue
Wishing
many dreams, hoping they come true
All
of these wishes are of being with you
