How I Got Obsessed
Well you probably have figured out by now that Reel Big Fish is my favorite band (the only band I like more is my band, but my band doesn't count.). Maybe you're still wondering, "How did this weird obsession come about?" Well there's a very good explanation if you'll only read this.
Last year I had decided that I wasn't going to waste my money. I had been blowing hundreds of dollars on CD's and listening to them for a week before throwing them in my very large unwanted pile. So I decided that a good solution to this problem would be to tape songs off of the radio instead of buying the whole album. One time, when I was taping a band I accidentally left it running after the song was done. Then they played Sell Out. And I unknowingly taped it. It was the first time I'd heard the song and I didn't know who Reel Big Fish was. I'll be perfectly honest now; I didn't instantly fall in love with the song. But after a while I found myself singing it wherever I went. It wasn't until a week later when I saw the Sell Out video on MTV I decided to screw the whole no-CD-policy and buy Turn the Radio Off. I loved it. And I've loved Reel Big Fish ever since. I still sing their music in my head. When I'm 80 years old I bet I'll still be singing Reel Big Fish. And my grandchildren will put me in a home because they'll think I'm insane. I hope that you too can share my love for this great band. And if not, maybe you like my own band. If we ever record something buy it. Please! (We haven't settled on a name yet)
