I seek the warmth of Love,
Eluding me.
I look far and wide,
My eyes seem to be blind,
My heart so lifeless,
My soul cold and dark.
Many have touched my heart,
But none have filled it with such joy.
Promises broken,
Lies told.
My heart left a wreck,
Hurting my soul.
Why do I keep looking?
I am not so sure,
But to feel this pain again,
And again.
For that one that shall fill my heart,
With such love and joy.
I'd go through all the pain and heartache.
For that one that will.
Love me,
Hold me,
Make my heart whole once again.
Only time will tell.
