The profile seemed to detail everything that should happen in the mission, it was all very routine, most of the crew knew it off-by-heart, at least the salient facts anyway. However nowhere was there mention of the Captain going AWOL.

MISSION Black Arrow

VESSEL WSRV Urania

CAPTAIN Alexander Klein

AREA OF INTEREST USC B32.65,27.81,7.5 a black hole, approximately
                    7½ light years away.

MISSION SUMMARY Explore the black hole, examine electron,
tauon and muon emissions and their respective
                    antiparticles and neutrinos. Similarly,
examine the full effects the intense
gravitational field has upon various instruments.
Furthermore release probe into it, record
readings, until, as obvious, reaches event
                    horizon. Confirm current theories, including
Harris' Graviton hypothesis, De Silver's X-ray
                    theory and Korsky's electromagnetic emission
distortion. All findings to be sent back to
Earth constantly, readings to be checked by on
board scientists, further work to be done on
                    Earth.

MISSION DURATION Approximately 60 years, most of which spent
                    in induced coma.

CREW Available in log file

ADDITIONAL Jayne Dickson, lawyer, new crew member by
direct order from Commander Robert Grove.
                    Rank unknown, purpose unknown.

EXPLANATION USC - Unified Star Catalogue.
Letters stand for type of stellar body it is
e.g. B stands for Black hole.
                         P stands for Pulsar
                         N stands for Nebulae
                         etc.
Numbers derived from position in sky relative
to Polaris. A complicated system involving
                    various angles and distances.
