- The Alleluia in D was broadcast on WCRB (102.5 FM) in Boston (24 Nov 02).
- The Percussion Ensemble at Emory University (Mike Cebulski, director) performed Journey to the Dayspring in Atlanta (17 Nov 02).
- Karl played two recitals with Mark Engelhardt (piano and organ), at the First Congregational Church in Woburn, and at the Cathedral Church of St Paul in Boston, in May 2002.
- The choir of the Cathedral Church of St Paul (Mark Engelhardt, Director of Music) sang O Gracious Light on a Mothers Day concert (12 May 02).
- The Percussion Ensemble at the Berklee College of Music (Dean Anderson, director) performed Murmur of Many Waters in Boston, in April 2002.
- The premiere of Pascha Nostrum for choir, brass quintet and organ, was performed at the First Congregational Church in Woburn on 31 March 2002. Also performed was the brass and organ version of Danse antique.
- The girls' choir in Östhammar, Sweden (David Aurelius, director) sang the Alleluia in D 31 March 2002.
- I Sang to the Sky, and Day Broke was one of three pieces read by the winds of the New England Conservatory of Music (Charles Peltz, director of wind ensembles) at Jordan Hall. This reading was part of a program sponsored by the American Composers Forum (28 Feb 02).
- May God Be Merciful to Us was broadcast on WCRB (102.5 FM) in Boston (20 Jan 02).
- The girls' choir in Östhammar, Sweden (David Aurelius, director) sang the Alleluia in D with harp accompaniment (Jan 02).
