Reissues and Compilations

This discography lists albums, cassettes and CDs featuring material previously released on various singles and albums. The selections are primarily restricted to United States releases, although some European and British reissues are listed. Although her work is featured on numerous big band and “best of the 1950s” albums and similar compilations, I have limited the below selections to albums solely featuring Kay Starr. Some serial number differences may exist between LP and cassette releases, and several listed cassettes are merely reissues of listed LPs.

In the past forty-five years the tracks Kay recorded during her years as a big band vocalist, and on several independent labels during the mid-1940s, have been reissued countless times, and continue to be reissued, on an infinity of budget albums. This fact alone makes this listing far from complete, and impossible to complete. None the less, below is the most comprehensive listing possible to date.
