Circle Casting
Ring bell three times, take your wand and visualize a beam of light emanating from the tip and hitting the ground at the radius of the circle you require or turn in place until it is completed. See the circle drawn in blue flames, as you draw say:
"Joy comes from Bast the Lady of cat's, the Goddess loves and protects all animals as a daughter of Bast. I call upon her to poor out her blessings. With her guidance I cast this circle to protect me from those energies and forces on any level that would seek to do me harm. I draw those energies and forces that are tight for me and most correct for my work."
Place your hand on the rocks/crystal and say:
"I call the forces of stability, foundation and prosperity. The spirits of North and Earth, come be welcome in this sacred rite. As the eyes of Bast can see thought the darkness, nothing escapes her notice."
Pick up your feather or wave your hand through your incense smoke and say:
"I call the forces of freshness, thought and movement. The spirits of East and Air, come be welcome in this sacred rite. The ears of Bast are sharp and are sensitive to every word of harm sent to me and mine on the wind."
Light the south candle and hold you hand above it and say:
"I call the forces of transformation, love and passion. The spirits of south and fire come be welcome in this sacred rite. The claws of Bast are sharp and will protect me and mine."
Place your hand lightly in the water and say:
"I call the forces of love, purification and healing. The spirits of West and Water, come be welcome in this sacred rite. The teeth of Bast are bared to any evil doers, protecting me and mine."
Face each corner and draw an invoking pentacle:
"From the soil; from the stone.
From the wind swept sky
From the flaming power cone
From the waters sigh."
Hold your hands over the alter, palms down and say:
"I now call the blended force
of elemental power;
come here from your primal source;
be here in this hour!"
Hold your wand above your head and say:
"Listen well, all those who would do harm to me and mine.
Here is erected a mighty fortress, an unbreakable shield.
You cannot enter here, your evil thoughts return to you."
The circle is cast, now to call to the Goddess
"Hail, Bast, Lady of cats
Hail, Bast, Goddess of earthly delights
Teach me to rejoice in the being that I am
Teach me to love and to be happy
Mother I call to you to come and grace me with your presence.
I cast this circle in your name and honor"
Visualize the circle being infused with green and blue lights, touching you and washing over your alter.
