Ferrets are part of the Mustelidae Family (AKA the Weasel Family); a omnivorous mammal family. There are sixty-nine species in this family. They all have long, slender bodies and short legs. Some of the animals in the Mustelidae Family are ferrets, ermines, fishers, martens, minks, wolverines, otters, skunks, and badgers. Another characteristic of this family is that the males are usually around two times bigger than the females.
