Chelsea's Ferret Page!

Hi, my name is Chelsea and I hope you enjoy my page. If I don't answer all your questions or if you want to talk please feel free to e-mail me at Meow907@aol.com.

	If you are asking yourself, what in the world is a ferret?, happen to be obsessed with
ferrets, or just want to know more about them, hopefully you will be able to find out
more than enough information here about ferrets to answer your questions.
	There are four different kinds of ferrets; the European ferret, the Black-Footed ferret,
the Marbled ferret and the Steppe ferret (more commonly known as the Steppe polecat).
The words ferret and polecat can be used interchangeably (for instance onemay call a
European ferret a ferret or a polecat, depending on which one you would prefer to use).
	Many people who have ferrets as pets argue that there are five species of ferrets,
consisting of the four species above as well as the 'Domestic' ferret (which I call the
wild ferret locked up in a cage). You are more than welcome to consider this a kind of
ferret if you wish, but I don't think it is.
	This brings up an interesting and highly controversial issue in the ferret world;
should ferrets be pets? You might be saying, 'I don't know right now', but hopefully by
the end of this series of webpages you will have an opinion on that matter.
