Welcome to Division 47's Homepage!
HOW DO YOU FEEL?!?! If you are not sure what Key Club is and what we do you may direct your eyes to Key Club 101.
Key Club 101
Key Club is the largest non-profit service organization
for high school students in the world. It boasts over
190, 000 internationally and continues to expand every
year.
The first Key Club was sponsored in May 1925 at
Sacramento High School in California by the Kiwanis club
of Sacramento. The original concept was to develop a
vocational guidance program aimed to combat the
problems of student fraternities. From this evolved the
idea of a service organization for the home, school and
community. As time passes, Key Club
International continues to grow at an astounding rate.
Today there are clubs in Aruba, Australia, Bahamas,
Barbados, Canada, Cayman Islands, Jamaica,
Netherlands Antilles, Philippines, Taiwan, St. Lucia,
Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States, Colombia,
Bermuda, Panama, and New Caledonia.
Cali-Nev-Ha
The Cali-Nev-Ha District contains 49 divisions and hundreds of
Key Clubs. It boasts over 24,000 members; which is
about one-fourth of all the members of Key Club
International. This number is still growing
each year which results in more service. This year we also have the offical Bee Cheer!!!
CNH Bee Cheer:
From the east to the west, you know we are the best.
We're the district with the sting, and that's why we
sing!
We're the bees. Buzz! Buzz!
We're the bees. Buzz! Buzz!
It's all about the party hardy CNH bees!
Cali-Nev-Ha Cheer: Cali-Nev-Ha! Cali-Nev-Ha! Abooga, Booga, Booga, HA!
HA! HA!
Key Club Pledge: I pledge on my honor to uphold the objects of Key Club
International; to build my home, school, and community;
to serve my nation and God and combat all forces which
tend to undermine these institutions.
Our Division
We are a small division located in Southern California's deserts and mountains. All our clubs contain 25 or less active members (50 or less if you count the people who just pay and never show up). However, our member number may increase with the addition of the Twentynine Palms High School Key Club!! This new club was made possible by our fearless LT. Governer, Ms. Karla Buchanan (1998/1999). She has done a lot this year to make this division noticed...gee, I wonder where this homepage came from? If you would like to learn more about Karla please visit Karla's Korner.
Everyone in Division 47 is proud to welcome Twentynine Palms and we know they will make us proud.
In other news, all our clubs recently had elections, and as division we elected the NEW Lt. Governor (sorry, Karla). And the envelope please . . . . . . Shawna Cooper!!! Shawna is a Junior this year at Yucca Valley High School, she was previously Vice President of the Yucca Valley Key Club and she is currently a Cheerleader, a member of ASB, and a contestant in the Miss Yucca Valley Pageant. We wish Shawna well as filling Karla's shoes will take a lot of dedication and effort- but we know she can do it. CONGRATULATIONS, SHAWNA!!
