This is where the adventure begins. This is the night we brought Toby home. He met our dog named Buffy, who wan't too happy at first with the new addition to the family. Toby was a hit from the time we brought him home until now. I haven't met anyone who doesn't like him.
Boxers are very intelligent dogs, a bit stubborn at times, but very trainiable if you
are persistent.
I did this page just for fun, and Toby became very fond of getting his picture taken. He would just about pose when he saw me with the camera.
Now, the later years...
As you can see, Toby has aged quite nicely and still loves to have his picture taken. He is still as handsome as ever!
Boxers in General
In general, Boxers are very jovial dogs with great personalities. They are great with kids, especially if they are raised with them and have been around a lot of people. Socialization is good for any breed, but Boxers seem to thrive on it. They can be very humorous, somewhat clownlike, especially if they know they are in the spotlight. There is never a dull moment when Toby is around. On the other hand, even though they are very comical, they know their responsibility to their humans. Boxers are great watch/guard dogs. They look tough, even though they don't always have to be. I used to take Toby to the walk up ATM and he would sit behind me at the end of the leash and people would keep their distance. The great thing about this was that I never trained Toby to do this, it was something he just picked up on his own. He already knew what to do.
