You Can Live Forever In Paradise

It does not seem possible to enjoy happiness on earth for even a short time. Sickness, aging, hunger, crime, insecurity and oppression often make life miserable. But there are good reasons for believing that it really is possible to live forever in happiness on earth. What are these reasons? First, because Almighty God made the earth just perfect for us! Also, in the ancient and most widely believed holy book, the Bible, he promises: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it." - Psalm 37:29. Because God is Almighty we know he can bring this to pass. In fact, he also promises to do away with the causes of unhappiness: "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor death nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:4. Consider what 'the spirit of mightiness' will mean in Jesus' rule. When he is on the earth, he had a degree of mightiness from Jehovah, enabling him to perform miracles. And he showed a heartfelt desire to help people, saying, "I want to." (Matthew 8:3) But his miracles of those days were just a foregleam of what he would do when ruling from heaven. Jesus will work miracles on a global scale! Sick, blind, deaf, maimed, and lame people will be healed for all time. (Isaiah 35:5, 6) An abundance of food, fairly distributed, will end hunger forever. (Psalm 72:16) What about those countless millions in the graves that God is pleased to remember? Jesus' "mightiness" will include the power to resurrect them, giving each the opportunity to live forever in Paradise! (John 5:28, 29) Yet, even with all this mightiness, he finds "enjoyment . . . in the fear of Jehovah." (Isaiah 11:3)

This makes it such a privilege to tell others about these wonderful prospects.
