There are many alternative ways of ridding your house of unwanted guests. They are as cheap,
quick and safe as modern methods, if not more so. There is no need to leave the house for a
few days while they take affect as must with fumigation and they certainly smell nicer!

Track down point of entry and sprinkle liberally |

Place with meat and fish before putting them into the fridge. |

Mix into water in a plant mister. Spray in areas needing disinfectant, or near sick people. Is known to wipe out moulds, staphlococci and many other micro-organisms. |
Fleas | Southernwood |
Scatter freely about house.
Soak a shoestring in oil and tie around animals neck. Add eucalyptus oil to water in a mist-sprayer and spray liberally, especially in corners. Place in pets bedding. |
Flies | Aromatic plants: |
Place on windowsills. |
Mosquitoes | Almond or soya oil base and a choice of: |
Pick 2-3 of the oils and add to the base at 4 drops to a teaspoon. Apply the oil to exposed skin. |

Moths | Oil of camphor, |
Sew small sachets of oils into lining of clothing and add to wardrobes and drawers. |

Mince herbs together, mix with cloves and pour into bags. Place in drawers and wardrobes. |

Line drawer with paper, sprinkle mixture on, cover with a layer of cloth and tack into place. |
