Introducing Tsukino Usagi, Senshi of the Moon

Meet fourteen year-old (sixteen when BSSM is over) Tsukino Usagi, the often
under-estimated and ridiculed Senshi. Many people fail to see through her
clumsyness the graceful and kind mother, Queen, Princess, warrior and teenager within her, labeling
her as a klutz or invalid. Well, we, or at least I have something to say
about that and I hope that I show those people the truth with this profile.

Tsukino Usagi is the first Senshi which Luna revives. In fact, Luna doubted
her selection in Usagi being the leader of the Sailor Senshi, but throughout
the series, Luna admitted that Usagi had matured rather quickly. Sometimes
in battles, Usagi would act clumsy or somewhat of a coward, but when her friends
or someone dear to her is in grave danger, she hardens into a determined warrior.
She would give her life for her friends to go on.
Long ago, before Usagi was born on Earth, she was the Princess a kingdom on the
Moon. She had fallen in love with a man named Prince Endymion or Chiba Mamoru,
who was from Earth, and was thought to be a spy. Usagi would often spend much
of her time standing on her balcony, staring at the Earth, thinking of the Prince
she had fallen in love with. But, there was also a woman in love with Endymion,
an evil Queen named Beryl (in the NA version). She grew jealous of the two,
hating Usagi, so during a celebration of the wedding between Usagi and Endymion,
she unleashed an attack on the Moon.
Queen Serenity, Usagi's Mother from the Moon, used all of her power, to send the
people of the Moon to another time and place in the future, hoping they would
be safe and happy then. Unfortunately, the evil enemies of the past weren't
gone for long, and they soon struck again. Usagi was revived as Sailormoon,
and fought alone for a while, before being joined by the other Sailor Senshi.
Usagi lives in a house with her mother, father, and little brother, Shingo.
Usagi-chan, as I said, started crime fighting alone before being joined by the
other Senshi. First, she was joined by Sailormercury, or Mizuno Ami, the brilliant
strategist of the Inner Senshi. Ami had transfered to Usagi's school, and wasn't
doing too well with the other students. She was often made fun of for being smart
and was called a cheater as well. After school, Usagi had met up with Ami to cheer
her up, with her heart of gold and kind-hearted personality.
Next, Usagi was joined by Sailormars, also known as Hino Rei, a beautiful priestess
with a hot temper. Usagi and Rei often have arguements, and scream and hurt eachother.
The first time Rei met Usagi, she got a bad feeling about her and used her ofuda
(parchment scroll) on her! But beyond everything, Usagi and Rei have a very
Usagi can count on Rei, and Rei can always depend on Usagi in times of need.
The next Senshi which joined Usagi was Sailorjupiter, or Kino Makoto, the strong,
mother-like Inner Senshi. When Makoto went to Usagi's school, she too was often
the laughing stock of her peers. (Hmmm, it seems students at Usagi's junior high
weren't too nice, ne?) But, in steps Usagi, remembering it was her who saved her
from those mean bullies who tried to steal her lunch. She sat didn't heed Umino's
warning of the rumor which was going around saying that Makoto was a bully, or
girl with super-strength. Usagi sat next to Makoto, conversed with her, and even
commented on how tasty her home-made lunch was!
The next, and last Inner Senshi to team up with Usagi was Sailorvenus, Aino Minako,
the athletic, sweet one of the group. Usagi and Minako look very much alike, and
are alike in personality and academic achievements (no offense intended). During
the season of BSSM, SailorStars, Minako and Usagi bickered more often, and also
hung around with each other more often. I remember when they were crying together
about their test scores...^_^ But, don't think that they're twins! Usagi was born
on June the 30th, which makes her a Cancer.
I think I speak for all the Senshi when I say this:
Not much is known to me about Usagi's future, and I am deeply sorry to you all
about that, but let me tell you what I know, and I will make it up to you as I
go along learning. Too bad for me, an NA watcher, ne?
Later, it is revealed to Usagi that she is in fact, the Queen of Tokyo, and that
Chibi-Usa is the fruit of her's and Mamoru's love. Usagi rules along side of
Mamoru, King Endymion. Usagi had achieved her dream, which was to be a bride, I
believe. Chibi-Usa is her daughter, the Princess of Tokyo.
In BSSM SailorStars, when Usagi gets her form as Eternal Sailormoon, three visitors
from another galaxy and planet (Kinmoku) came to Earth. They were Kou Seiya, Kou
Taiki and Kou Yaten, the popular idol rock group, Three Lights. Unknown to Usagi
and the other Senshi, they were also the Sailor Starlights: Sailor Star Fighter,
Sailor Star Healer, and Sailor Star Maker. Well, Seiya fell in love with Usagi ever
since he first saw her, so Haruka got on the protective side. While Mamoru is gone to
America to study in Harvard, I think, a strong bond, almost semi-relationship(?)
develops between Usagi and Seiya.
Basically, that covers Tsukino Usagi, the Senshi of the Moon. More will be added here
as I continue to be educated about her, and as I keep purchasing mangas and subtitled
