This is the first book I have read in the Draycott Abbey series, and now I can't wait to read them all. The build up of tension - sexual and otherwise - is marvelous and keeps you going to the very end. Joanna is a quirky heroine we can all have compassion for, and Alexei is strong, protective, and possesses the gypsy talent of mind reading. The ghosts will charm you. The mystery of the sword will haunt you. You'll learn a little bit of history. But most of all, you will be sucked into a magical romance between two people who have wasted too much time apart.
