Atlanta   SKYSCRAPERS!!!!!!

Downtown Atlanta Skyline
Welcome to Atlanta SKYSCRAPERS!!!!!! Browse around the page and feel free to E-Mail me!!!!!

Welcome to the newest addition of the Skyscrapers empire!!!! This page is purely dedicated to Atlanta's huge amount of skyscrapers and tall buildings. This page was founded on June 18, 1998. The first skyscraper in Atlanta was Burnham and Root's Equitable building. Unfortunately, this piece of Atlanta's history was demolished in 1971. Now, the oldest skyscraper in Atlanta is Bradford Gilbert's Flatiron or English-American Building that was built in 1897. In the past twenty-five years, many new skyscrapers have been constructed. The world-famous Westin Peachtree Plaza is an incredible building and an even more incredible hotel. It has 71 stories and remains the tallest hotel in Atlanta. It was built by John Portman. In 1987, another very famous skyscraper was built in the postmodern style. This was One Atlantic Center. The 50 story skyscraper started the real estate boom in Midtown Atlanta. It was built by Philip Johnson and John Burgee. Lastly, the current tallest building in Atlanta, NationsBank Plaza, was built in 1992 by Kevin Roche and John Dinkeloo.
